The LEX is committed to education and creating outstanding opportunities for young people to learn the craft of theatre. High School Students may be eligible to apply or audition for Technical or Performance Apprenticeships. These Apprenticeships allow aspiring young performers and technicians the opportunity to work alongside professionals in the industry. The High School Apprenticeship Program is funded through donations and sponsorships. There is no fee to participate in our High School Apprenticeship Program.
Performing Apprentices will rehearse and perform alongside the professional company. Performing Apprentices may be cast in a few scenes/numbers and may also participate as Technical Apprentices when they are not on stage. Auditions for Performing Apprenticeships will be held on SATURDAY, MARCH 18 in Lexington, Kentucky ONLY. Please see Auditions Page for more information & application procedures.

- Please fill out the online application here
- Apprenticeship applicants should submit an email, with a brief statement about why becoming an Apprentice at The LEX is important to you, to email@example.com with the subject line 2017 LEX APPRENTICES - Your Name.
- A Letter of Recommendation is required from a teacher or mentor who knows your work. This letter should be submitted by the recommender to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line 2017 RECOMMENDATION - Your Name.

Auditions for children's roles will be held when necessary for a particular show.
