Join us Friday, March 15 & Saturday, March 16, for a showcase of our wonderful Artist Development Program.  From our Explorers (ages 3-5) through our Trailblazers (ages 55+), these artists will have your heart singing as they present "Happiness Is...Believing."

Broadway's Darius Jordan Lee, who you'll remember as Phil Davis from our production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas last November is back to join our students on stage!  It will be a delightful event!

Youth & High School Auditions - 2024 Season

Main Stage Season Opportunities for Youth & High Schoolers

Rising 3rd Graders-Graduating 12th Graders can audition for our Apprentice Program, and have the opportunity to perform in a professional production and share in the magic of making musical theatre!

Performing Apprentices will complete an Audition on February 23-25, 2024 (registration required). Youth Apprentices will be considered for Fiddler on the Roof and A Christmas Story.

Our Pre-Show Players Program is part summer theatre camp and part performance opportunity!

Pre-Show Players will participate in a tuition-based, one-week summer theatre camp in June (scholarships available.) During the camp, the students will receive musical theatre training and will rehearse a Pre-Show performance that will be presented just ahead of the curtain at select performances of our summer shows.

Pre-Show Players will complete an Audition February 23-24, 2024 (registration required).

ADP February - High School & Youth Audition Workshop

Youth & High School Audition Workshop is a great way to prepare for The Lex's auditions or simply for a fun and creative outlet! The workshop will be a sample of what our year-long ADP Core classes look like.

Sing a short cut of your song of choice and ADP Teaching Artists, Brance Cornelius & Wesley Byers, will coach you to a better understanding of your piece, through both storytelling and vocal production. Then, listen to your fellow classmates as they, too, are guided through their audition material, creating a shared time of learning. Students will also experience learning a short dance combo.

Please bring sheet music, clearly marked, in your key; 32 bars or 1-minute of song. Students can wear jazz shoes or tennis shoes for the dance combo. There is no need for a change of clothes.

Adult Audition Workshop is a great way to prepare for The Lex's auditions or simply for a fun and creative outlet! The workshop will reflect what a year-long class would look like for our Voyagers (Adults 18+).

Sing a short cut of your song of choice and ADP Teaching Artists, Brance Cornelius and Wesley Byers, will coach you to a better understanding of your piece, through both storytelling and vocal production. Then, listen to your fellow classmates as they, too, are guided through their audition material, creating a shared time of learning.

Please bring sheet music, clearly marked, in your key; either 32 bars or 1-minute of song. Each student will have approximately 10 minutes of personalized coaching time.

"Behind The Curtain" - Irving Berlin's White Christmas

Join The Lex Team as we pull back the curtain for an in-depth lecture series and Q&A about how our musical storytelling magic is made. The October edition will examine our process for producing Irving Berlin's White Christmas this November. Spend an afternoon with Artistic Director Lyndy Franklin Smith and Resident Music Director Brock Terry as they share anecdotes about how they are preparing to bring this magical musical to life. Get excited for the very first holiday production by The Lex: Irving Berlin's White Christmas (November 16-19 at the Lexington Opera House).

Sunday, October 22nd at 3:00pm at Old North Bar (at Greyline Station). Tickets are $10.

Tony Awards Watch Party

Cheer on the LexFam and hang out with The LexTeam for Tony Night!

Join us along with our friends at West Sixth Brewing and Smithtown Seafood for this special Watch Party! 

Smithtown Seafood and West Sixth Brewing will offer Tony Awards specialties for purchase (with a portion of food and drink purchases benefitting The Lexington Theatre Company).

We'll be saluting our LexFam including Best Actor Nominee, Colton Ryan!  Other alums in nominated shows include Gabriella Enriquez and Haley Fish in New York, New York and Bailee Endebrock in Parade.
